All friends must part ways, All good things must come to an end, all closely knit groups of people eventually drift apart or move apart. But we look back at times with each other with such fond memories. We long for the times when we were together. when the bonds of unity were strong. All these feeling are doubled within the church with the power of the spirit connecting people. Even friends who are life-long, separate from each other at death. People part ways. But as Christians we have the hope of eternity not only with our Lord and savior, but eternity with each other, Living forever with EVERYONE. Everyone that has made you a better Christian, that has encouraged you, discipled you, been lead by you. All those will be present in eternity, where we can all fellowship and worship together. What A thing to look forward to! What A thing to hope for.
Acts 1 I am currently going through the book of Acts with my small group at church. This would be the second time I have gone through Acts with a group, but as with most books of scripture, they seem to take on a different theme or flavor each time you go through them. That's why it' s so important to continue reading through scripture. Since it's the Spirit that interprets scripture to us, its not unreasonable to suppose that the scripture reveals different parts at different times,(but that's beside the point.) This time going through Acts with a group of close knit fellow believers has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had with a church group in a long time.
